Winter Concerts
Welcome Winter Weather
Amidst concerns of yet another snowfall in
the north Georgia mountains, the Fannin County Middle School 8th Grade
Band and the Fannin County High School Band hosted a Winter Concert,
featuring their District Festival Performance Music.
Highlights of the concert included guest
conductor and trumpet soloist Michael Felgate, performing Napoli,
and junior marimba soloist John Moates, performing Flight of the Bumble
Bee. (As pointed out by band director and emcee, Elden Moates, both
songs are featured on popular commercials for Olive Garden and Wendy's,
respectively!)
